The Design Center Consultant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while guiding homebuyers in the selection of finishes, fixtures, and other design elements for their new home.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule Design Center appointments and send out confirmation emails
• Engage with homebuyers to understand their design needs, budget and preferences
• Answer questions regarding included features, products, and design options
• Employ upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive Design Center experience
• Communicate effectively with sales, construction and purchasing departments regarding selections, change orders, and custom options
• Select interior and exterior products for spec homes
• Ensure model numbers, pricing, documents, and virtual design software are accurate
• Maintain the organization of the Design Center and remove obsolete products
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to select additional products for the Design Center based on homebuyer inquiries and design trends
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS [required]

• 5 years of experience working in a design center with buyers for new home construction
• Associate degree in design related field
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design
